Leader of The Pack KW 'Mastering the Walk' workshop
Starting Monday March 11 at 6:30 - we'll cover everything you need to know to have a successful walk! In this 3 session workshop, we'll dive into tool conditioning and communication cues, basics of teaching a loose leash and real life practice! Get ready to enjoy those walks with your pup like never before! Please note this group workshop is not ideal for dogs experiencing severe reactivity or aggressive behaviours. $275+HST per dog(includes slip). Scent Detection Teaser
Does your pup’s nose really know? Let’s find out! Join Erika in tapping into your dog’s sense of smell and find out if following the scent trail is really their calling! Sunday March 10 and 24 at 6PM. $40+ HST per dog. Those wishing to bring more than 1 dog must book multiple spots.
Paw-liday Scavenger Hunt
Thank you for participating in our DFKW Paw-liday Scavenger hunt! Below you will find more information on the vendors, dog friendly businesses and activities you can visit/participate in to fill up your ballot!
To complete the ballot you must:
visit/engage with 6 vendors on site at the event,
visit 2 dog friendly businesses located in DTK, and;
participate in 2 activities hosted throughout the day and receive a signature from the vendor or host.
We have many wonderful prizes up for grabs including a free night stay at the Walper Hotel in Downtown kitchener, and a free 2 hour virtual or in person training session with Lili of Leader of the Pack KW. The winners will be selected at random.
You can pick up your Scavenger hunt ballet at the Dog friendly KW booth located in the parking lot off Gaukel street or from a dog friendly volunteer floating throughout the event. Once you have filled all the spaces on your ballet please return it to the Dog friendly KW to have it entered into the draw.

Dogtoberfest 2023
Dog Friendly KW is excited to be bringing you DOGtoberfest, presented by Nutram, as part of the 2023 KW Oktoberfest Festival. DOGtoberfest will be taking over Carl Zehr Square on Saturday, October 7 from 10am - 7pm and Sunday, October 8 from 10am - 6pm. The Superdogs will be performing throughout the day, SNIFFSCAPE will be making a comeback, and we will have many of your other favourite Dog Friendly KW activities that weekend. So come on down with your pup, check out our vendors, and participate in Canada's largest Bavarian Festival!

Orange Shirt Day Pack Walk in support of Woodland Cultural Centre
Join us for our second annual Orange Shirt Day Pack Walk in support of Woodland Cultural Centre.
National Day for Truth & Reconciliation honours the children who never returned home and Survivors of residential schools, as well as their families and communities. Public commemoration of the tragic and painful history and ongoing impacts of residential schools is a vital component of the reconciliation process.
Friday September 29th | 6:30 pm | Huron Natural Area, Kitchener
**Pay what you can with a minimum donation of $10 to Woodland Cultural Centre in Brantford, Ontario. Please wear orange**

Barks & Brews is coming back again for a second summer!
Dog Friendly KW and TWB Co-operative Brewing have teamed up on this free weekly patio meet up every Thursday from 5-7 pm from May 25 until August 31.
Once a month, we will have a special Barks & Brews night featuring activities and vendors!

DFKW is bringing Pups & Poses to Cambridge/Galt!
We’re teaming up with local dog-owner Kayla Zawiski to host a pay-what-you-can yoga and pilates series at Waterhill Farm just outside of Downtown Galt.
